Went to Geraldton. It's a long drive, with no redeeming features. Even the crayfish at the end (which I didn't know about until we got there) could not make up for the length and boringness of the trip. Dr K and Strangedave were fantastic company, but the visuals *sigh* were less than could be desired. :-) And what the hell is a Paulownia Plantation anyways? So. Geraldton itself was cool, the ladies were lovely, and I did indeedy sell a lot of stuff. Managed to sleep on the way down and then sleep in the next day, but there was no sleeping on the way home, which is unusual for me. :-) Bought some crays and brought them back for dinner. Crayfish cocktail on a nice bed of lettuce.... yumbos!!
I just watched Troy, Stepford Wives and Calendar Girls back to back with my mother. I feel all movied out *grin* I feel square in de eyes. Eric Bana appeared to do a surprisingly good job. Orlando Bloom CAN NOT ACT TO SAVE HIS LIFE. I was astounded at how good a job Eric Bana did. Then the camera would cut to Orlando, who had a strained, constipated look when he tried to emote. And then Eric would out-act, out-brawn, and out-think him by raising an eyebrow or something equally minor. Orlando SUXX. Brad Pitt is looking old, but seemed to do a fine job. All in all, it was a long movie trying to attain greatness, but kind of failing due to some weak acting. Surprisingly enough, some boys do look good in a skirt. *giggle*
Stepford wives was an interesting but cute change to the original story. I can't remember the exact original story, but I am *sure* it doesn't end like that. :-) But close enough, whatever. It made me and mum giggle. Calendar Girls was interesting and funny. Oh, and Orlando Bloom CAN'T ACT TO SAVE HIS LIFE. Sorry, I just thought I should stress that. :-)
