It's a newsmap. It has a display showing topics, and if you put your mouse over it, you can find out how many related articles there are about that topic. It's also amusing to compare the serious articles popularity against the entertainment style articles. Awesome way to keep up with what's going on in the news-sphere! It also shows the time the news was released by colour coding the blocks, and there's ways to filter down to just World related news or just entertainment related news, and ...wow. And you can select the countried you want news from - just one country or a selection of them.
