Heh! I got my new favourite secret ingredient (right next to real sate sauce) chilli paste in soya bean oil in Yangebup of all places. There you go. :-)

So what's been happening in my life. Well, things have started to come to fruition. I can see floor in the lounge room. I have even vacuumed it. I can see floor in the dining area. I have not yet vacuumed that. I can even see desktop on my desk. I have wiped it over and put things in boxes. The kitchen even had clear tops for days. I have enough room to breathe in. *grin*

We made a Thai three course meal (well, four I guess if you include cake) for my brother's birthday. We did corn patties, tom yum soup, green thai curry chicken and chicken and basil stir-fry with rice. It was pretty f*cking awesome if I do say so myself. I did all the chopping and prep at my house, and then Chesh and I both cooked bits together. :-) Mother fed us alcohol. It went very very well.

I'm finding it a bit difficult to explain what I next want to explain. It's related to the title... I have been reading all these pregnancy mags Lyn has loaned/given me, and I remember reading about the occasional vision problems that sometimes pop up. They go away after a while/when the child is born, and I remember thinkng "I hope I don't get anything like that!" Well, it seems I'm just lucky. :-) I have what seems like a permanent sunspot in my right eye. It's fine during the day for driving and doing everything, but I don't want to drive at night any more because I find I just can't make out things like street signs. :-( It's kind of annoying, because it does make things a little bit more dangerous, and in dim light I can have problems making out friend's faces. Not that it's a hassle; every one of my friends seems to have a very different physical shape!! But it just sometimes feel like another dent in my already rapidly diminishing independance. I've spent a long time being independant, and knew I would have to adjust, but it's always going to be a learning curve. I can't wait for this to fix itself! (And yes, I spoke with the midwives about it who ran me through a heap of questions and decided it's "just one of those things for now." )

See an opthalmologist. Not a midwife. Midwives good for below the belt stuff, but for eye problems, see an eye specialist. Get it checked. And let your obs/gynae doctor know about it too. It could be a sign of changing intraocular pressure, or other badness.
Like, don't rush off panicked tonight or anything, but make an attempt to have it seen in the next week? Get your BP and wee checked again too.

Good, just get your eyes (including fundi) checked. Seriously.
