They've deleted the Aboriginal flag from the winning artwork for Australia Day.
ETA apparently google did ask permission to use it, but the person who owns the copyright wanted payment/denied them or something. So they did *try*

WASFF WANTS YOU!
Jan. 26th, 2010 09:46 amBIDS FOR SWANCON 2012 WILL BE PRESENTED THIS SWANCON!
Have you ever thought about running a convention? Have you ever thought about being part of a 2 year project with great opportunities to make new friends and learn new skills?
WASFF WANTS YOU!
Every year bids are announced during the WASFF meeting at Swancon, and a committee is selected by the community to run a convention 2 years hence. If you have any fantastic ideas for themes, locations, changes, excitement, then please do consider coming together with likeminded souls to form a committee. If you've always wanted to take part, but aren't certain about what role you can fulfil, or just feeling a bit shy, then contact us and we'd love to talk to you.
A Swancon bid needs a minimum of a Convenor, a Treasurer, and a Secretary, and hopefully an idea. You need to do a three minute talk to the attending members (whoever drags themselves out of bed on that morning!) An idea or vision is a great way to get people on board, and if you can explain it well I'd love to see what you can see. You also have a good percentage of the convention to talk to people and see what they think of your idea, and get more offers of help or assistance!
Swancon is an excellent training ground for some very important skills. Concoms can be as big or as small as the convention needs, so there is always places for enthusiastic, willing people to help out during the 2 years in advance, or at the Convention itself.
If you have any questions or queries, please don't hesitate to contact WASFF, Sarah or Ju, or any WASFF Board Member you know and ask. Questions are welcome!
Sarah's email address is callisto at gmail dot com, and Mynxii's email address is transcendancing at gmail dot com.
