Y'know, for someone who wears roughly two pairs of shoes most times, I have a lot of shoes.
Shoes dumped on the bed!
Yup. Title says it all.
Shoes Dumped on the bed for sorting
I dumped them all on the bed, then sorted into pairs, ditched the ones that don't have pairs, and I am about to go back and decide if I want to keep what's left!
Neat little rows. Shoes!!!!
Hmmm. Lots of black in there.
Discard Bin
Things to Go. From the initial removal of everything on to the bed.
Yes,..... yes, they should. And will be coming to a girlfriend near you... *grin* Your feet are narrower than mine, and after the pregnancy, while I don't think I got swollen feet much, I'm too scared to even *try* and put some of those hoofers on. I might never get them off and that would be WAY embarrassing to explain to Vincent when he gets old enough to ask why Mum always has one leg six inches taller than the other.
Er sorry. I'll be good now. This is a collection for ... well, as long as I have been wearing and buying my own shoes. So it could be much, much bigger. :-)
And yes, realistically, I have the slip on sandals I am wearing now, one pair of "going out" shoes that I wear, my docs and my steelcap boots. That's really all I wear, so the rest are basically fluff. Not necessarily fluff I am willing to give up though....
What isn't obvious is how manky that pair of docs are now.
Third pair this week being chucked from our house. I chucked 2 pair, both of which didn't have toes any more.
Anyway, the "mystic Docs" aren't that good. In good old blitey, they were cheap and comfortable. They were never cheap here. There are much better shoes for much cheaper.
*giggle* Those ones make me look like I have clown feet, and the stitchinghas given way on the heel. They've been like this for years, and I haven't had them fixed yet, so I figure it's time to give them the big heave ho.
Now my Cat Boots. THEY looked cool AND they were cheaper and more comfortable.
The Cat Boots had big tread soles, steel plates over the lacing and decent padding. MANLY boots. (these are a pretty close approximation of what I bought, but with more padding and metal (http://www.catfootwear.com/Shop/Detail.aspx?NavID=M-WRK&PID=6536))
Mind you I still lust after Dredd Commandos (http://www.dracinabox.com/frdreddcommando.htm).
