Been a tad stressed, so I'll probably only talk in bullet points for a bit.
1) Bought a gate with a gate for kitchen doorway. Very happy. Will go back and buy another one. $90 at Big W.
2) Big W absolutely ROCKs when it comes to cheap baby clothes. I love Big W. Boy now has enough stuff to probably last next three brothers. Also, el cheapo grobags, $10 as opposed to $90.
3) Big W also rocks in their larger ladies clothes. I bought some. :-)
4) If you're an alton fan, and you've always wanted the magnetized meat thermometre which you leave in the roast the whole time it's cooking and stick the timer part to the oven, then you can get them for about $50 at Belmont, a shop called Kitchen Entrē. It's not Polder brand, so I haven't come across any whiny reviews about them not working after two goes, and the lady did not know if she had sold any of them before myself, and did not remember any customers coming back to whine at her about it if they had and it didn't work. If that makes sense. It doesn't have the timer timer function, it has an alarm which will go off for you when your meat hits either the preset temp selected or the userdefined temp selected. Roast lamb this weekend I think!
5) Funeral is on Thursday. Bunfights continuing. Cousins have macabre sense of humour, involving one WTF moment so far. Weirdos.
6) Ducks currently very, very, very cold.
7) I'm tense and stressed and giving it out freely to Chesh. And that sleeping thing is for suckers.
8) Does any one know what a mum can do when her ex-husband is mentally abusing the kids on his weekend access? She got her kids back, and the 4 yo was being abused for being a "sook" and has had 20 minute night terrors since the weekend, and has lost all confidence in doing anything he used to do. The eldest boy (6) has apparently been spending a lot of time quietly hugging his teddy and not saying much.

A lot depends on what happened in the custody hearing, and whether there were conditions or a court order as an outcome. A court order can require attendance at mediation/counselling/parenting courses.
Does she want him to have access or part time custody? Does he want it?
The teachers can report the behaviour changes to DCD, and they will be put into the system for any future name searches to hit.
