Boy does Ju have a lot of reading a head of her when she gets home!!
LOL
I had a great time! I felt a bit torn at times, because when I wasn't there I wanted to be! LOL! I wish I could have come along on the Friday and had my own room the whole con, but unfortunately, these things just can't happen for a few years. :-)
So, I spent Saturday abouncing around the house alternately wanting Vinnie to wake up, or else at Spring Camp chatting with people I haven't talked to in years. :-) I desperately was waiting for Vinnie to have his afternoon nap so I could pass him onto someone else LOL!
I finally got rid of him and hit the Emerald. I chatted breifly with some people, got to meet CaptnOblivious, saw every one (I am so not going to list every LJ username) and we settled in for dinner. The lamb rack was nice, and I was highly amused to see that the resturaunt was using pink salt. I wondered if any one else had noticed. Salts are in at the moment, but really, when you get down to the true nitty gritty, salt is salt. :-) It tasted salty. *grin*
We were drinking champagne, and it was lovely. I had a half a bottle of the usual, hidden in my car. We had to be home before midnight. I had a great room party, and did manage to surprise myself. It was also the first time in a very long time that I have felt comfortable extending my personal space to a lot of people egain. For a long time, I've just not been interested in having people I'm not extremely old friends with be in my personal space, and it was fantastic to feel like this again. Ju and I shared some chartreuse. Some people started holding it under their tongue, despite the fact that I told them this was an unwise idea. Really, really, unwise. It gets people into trouble. *grin* I was pretty drunk. Er. Drubnk. :-)
I really enjoyed Sunday too. I got to go to a few panels, which was cool. Marianne seemed very very very cool. :-) I did feel as though I needed to have a checklist, and a booking sheet, so I could try and fit every one in so I could actually *talk* to people, rather than just breezing through going "Hi!" on the way to something. :-) Laneda's coffee panel was brilliant. :-) Very interactive, which was fantastic. Kaneda could sell pretty much anything he ever wanted to. :-)
Vinnie was getting tireder and tireder, and just as the debate panel was starting,John came in, gave me a package of stuff and said "I'm taking vinnie home to sleep, can you do the launch for me?" and then went home. Ooo. he gave me his whole wallet! Managed to LOSE the debate about Reality TV is the Enemy of Quality TV. I mean, really. The winning side I summed up as "Daleks Good. Spam great!" And we still lost. :-) Congrats to Stephen and Prky for a convincing win. Or something. :-)
Launch for Night's Edge went well. The damn LJ feed already has more subscribers in a couple of hours than Femmeconne had. :-) Yay!
Anyway, I need to run off and do family thngs. We're having a BBQ! Oh, and I Ascended this morning. Yay!!!
LOL
