Well.
If what I am told is to be true, I have proteges. And they are learning to be evil. Hmmmm.... Evil in their own way. Gee, I wonder who came up with the idea of holding the chartreuse under the tongue? Best bit about this is that if you do it wrong from the start, your tongue burns. I believe my comment was "Jesus Christ, that was hotter than most of Sheldon's curries!" The second best bit is that you get really drunk really fast and then you get all touchy feely and then it's all just downhill. When I had the urge to play "spin the bottle" I knew it was time to shut up and watch the movie and just stop drinking! :-)
I found it amusing that I had the urge to play spin the bottle. It's such a childish game, and I haven't played it in years and years and years and years... probably because sometimes it's just hard to have a room full of people who make the acceptable standard. Note that I'm talking not even up to the "OK" standard (there has to be a bad side, otherwise there's no risk after all!) Last night we certainly seemed to have a room full of people above the acceptable standard. *grin*
And there was much fun in corridors, much crumpets with butter, much chartreuse, much fun, and much Llama movie. We gotta buy ourselves a copy of that! :-) And much munchies. You know, I think it's time for a glass of wine. *grin* I'm feeling... oddly relaxed. Kind of unusual right now, since I did NOT do any packing. But Cheshire cleaned the bedroom so well I have the urge to have that cocktail party and invite every one who we want to sleep with ... just in case... er... of course. *grin* The room is even clean UNDER the bed, plenty of room to stash people if they're into that sort of thing *waves hands in a disdainful manner*
I have managed to cook all those ingredients for the irish stew. Now I am so not interested in the irish stew, so I think we'll probably end up throwing it all out. I kind of did the first half on Monday, and the second half yesterday, and then mixed it all together and looked at it and went... "Nope." Now it's hiding in the fridge and probably going off. :-) But yay crockpot! Now I am cooking a chicken dish for the big brother eviction party we're having tonight. The hordes will descend! YAY!
Right now we're just cruising. WE've set up the laptop in the lounge room so Mynxii can play if she wishes and I'm hogging my pc. I like my pc. *hugs monitor* I missed it. :-) I've been burning all sorts of stuff today, I quite like the mix of sweet grass and cinquefoil. I should do some research and see what properties these 'erbs have. Also burnt some dragons blood and copal. Nice stuff. :-) Yummy stuff. Still haven't even opened my newest cookbook b ut that's OK, cos I am starting work late tomorrow too. Ooooo, the stuff comes tomorrow, my new cooktop etc! Yay!
Also, whilst dithering around the urges to burn things, it's time for our annual bonfirey goodness. Any one interested in a weekend trip to a beautiful farm in brunswick to help burn things post a comment. The general plan is that we all have to take down bedding etc and we sleep in the loungeroom in front of the fire. Unless you're sleeping with the owner, or you've been friends for ever and your name is Callisto. *grin* We potter around the farm, walk, play, lurk, read, whatever during the day and that night Matt has a tree he needs to burn, so we jump in the fourby or walk and then burn it and drink a lot and run around in the dark screaming heaps. Oh, and maybe see what else we can burn too. Chesh and I have a couple of sparklers that need burning. :-)
