Stay warm, avoid milk products and drink plenty of hot fluids and keep sitting up. Demand sympathy from your loved ones. You ever try those Eaze-A-Colds?
My drugs get very limited when I am pregnant. I had dissolvable panadol last night (yuck) and strepsils, but I think I have run out of one and about to run out of the other. :-( We have lots of cold and flu tablets, but I'm not supposed to take them.
hot lemon and honey drink always makes me feel better (and I sometimes put a little brandy in, depending on suitability). It may also help to settle your stomach.
The Eaze-A-Colds are herbal - not that you should be any less careful just because it's "natural" (so's strychnine). They've got olive leaf and echinecea and stuff. I don't know if they're contraindicated for pregnancy, but I thought I'd mention them as they might be allowable. They certainly reduce the time I spend miserable with colds.
Some pharmacies carry them and would be able to say if you could have them or not for some relief.
Ring your local pharmacist, tell her your symptoms and that you're expecting and see if she can suggest some relief if the Eaze a Colds are no good for you.
Pharmacists can be more useful than doctors sometimes, you don't need an appointment and they're more up to date with drug interactions.
Grate some fresh ginger, put it on the stove in a saucepan full of boiling water for a few minutes until the water turns golden yellowish, mix with honey, drink. Seems to help, somewhat.

Garlic oil capsules seem to help, too.
