Draft Three is Done

I have finished Draft 3 of Book One.

I realised I was padding, so I cut to the chase and put a knife through this fucker.

Er.

I completed this rewrite. Yay!
Probably only another ten or so to go.
:-)

But later. Much later. Yay me! And it came in at 75,001

I should do my tallies up again I guess.

Excellent work! I love an author that cuts (m not emo lvr!). Read a book recently that repeated so many of the same bits, I was tempted to cut it out myself! (Okay, that was too extreme, but you get my point :P)

I am going to shelve it, and work on learning how to write. Then I might fix it again. I might not. Cos then I want to learn how to plot and structure things properly. Then I might go back and fix them *all*

There's a lot more work to go if I want to make it publishable, and honestly I don't know if it ever will be. I feel it would be a disservice to the other books to not try and get them published one day, but I have to get good first.

It's all a learning curve.
