callistra: Fuschia from Sinfest crying her heart out next to Hell's flames (Good as Gold AOL)
Hey every one! Having a great time, wish you were here! Oh, hang on a sec, no I don't! The logistic nightmare alone would give me headaches for weeks!

We've been here for about 8 hours and have spent 500 bucks already! I have a new corset, plus a new cute little hand bag/pursey thing which is a corset and has leopard print and John has bought a mask as well! Yay Sydney! All we have done is sleep and then walk up the road looking for food. It's kind of weird having dinner at 4:00 our time, but we don't want to mess too much with out time sense, because staying up until 2:00 Sydney time (11 pm our time) would be fun.

I keep changing the times in my head and getting all confused. :-) I had a breif panic attack on the plane coming over. Buit I grabbed John's hand, and it went away. And then the plane started taxi-ing to get around the runway, and I remembered the last time, which is about 10 years ago now, and the sheer exhileration of the take off point. Damn me again baby, gets me hot every time. And the landing too, absolute rocking. I slept most of the way. (After a shaky Mazda 121, a plane is NOTHING.) Cattle class has it's own kind of amusements, I must admit. But more on that later I guess. John has finished all his typing for now, and I haven't even started to read any of my friend's blogs!! I might have to skip the opportunity for a bit, and maybe do it later. I can't remember how long I have been here, but this place seems pretty cheap in terms of net access.

We had dinner at a nice restauranty place, which kind of reminds me of the resturaunty places you see in movies that are supposed to be set in New York. Boy am I glad I can type fast!! Kind of place I would call a diner, I guess.

S and A are coming tomorrow, late tomorrow, we have a three bedroom
apartment between the four of us, which S was worried about because they told a friend she could stay over on mardi gras night, and we told Raucaus he could also stay over on saturday night, however the three bedroom apartment has three en suites, plus our bedroom (which is the largest. After all, we did check in first) has a bunk bed in it. David will have to use the top bunk, because John has arranged all his clothes neatly on the bottom bunk because there is no wardrobe. The one time I decide I was willing to actually "move in" instead of just living out of the suit case, we get a room with no drawer space. Actually, I lied, there is a wardrobe, sorry, but it's just not got any shelves or anything in it. It has a broken lamp and some blankets though.

:-)

So, having a wonderful time already, and our first day is not even over yet! We have a potential four things to do tonight, I think we may have missed out on some of these options by now but we're just relaxing and cruising. John has already started to relax and keeps pressing his fingers into his shoulders to show me!!

We had a bottle of wine with dinner - can you tell? iinet is being sucky. It keeps timing out, and when you're in an internet cafe I start to worry of the Swancon group got my email about quizziness or not. Damn, it looks like not. There was a lot of typing involved in that, I don't think I will type it again. I'll ring S2 later.

Chesh and I went to our hairdresser before we came over, and it was excellent to catch up. We exchanged a few stories, and I have learnt some illuminating things, and been given some ideas for stuff. I like my hairdressers/beautician. They rock. Check it out at Ron is here

Thinking of you all, love you heaps,

Calli

Hey Sarah (put this on John's blog too)

I'm in Sydney this weekend - Fri night, Sat 6 and Sunday 7 - with Margaret Dunlop if you want to say hi.

I'm staying at Sydney Central YHA - (02) 9281 9111 - no mobile sadly as I lost it on a bus and have better and/or more neccessary things to spend $200 on than a new one. I suppose you could call Margaret Dunlop's mobile as I'll be with her most of the time. If you do leave a message with the YHA leave your mobile number as I lost all my phone numbers with the phone. Otherwise, catch you both at Swancon

Have fun,
Lily
