That's a very interesting article, and I think very true. I know we had fairly similar patterns playing themselves out in the Perth groups. Enthusiasm, request for effort, same dozen people volunteer while the rest fade away only to return to complain/take credit/go crazy.
Its exhausting, and sooner or later those people who do work and try and put in considered and considerable effort look at each other and shrug. "Why bother?" they ask each other as they fade back to concentrate on what matters to them and theirs.
I can understand this woman's concerns - people looking to connect can't, and either flee for other things or get hooked up in some bastardly scam. But I still have to wonder why people who are dedicated to a pagan path should feel the need to put themselves out there? Questions to ponder. Thanks for the link :)
I got it from nonfluffypagans which is an interesting group to read. Sometimes they go off, sometimes they are more level headed. Butstill highly amusing. :-)
